Compare the object, not only the photograph

Search terms alone may miss a listing with an unrelated title. Exact image searches can also miss a print photographed by a seller. Visual comparison looks at shape and details, while recognizing that angle, lighting, material and image quality affect what can be compared.

STL Parrot compares protected designs with available listings from enabled sources. Candidates pass through human review before an alert reaches the creator. You then assess permission. This workflow helps organize leads; it does not promise that every use of a model will be found.

Know which sources are in scope

Etsy is the first integration of the project. Wallapop has undergone limited manual validation, while automatic acquisition remains disabled. These statements describe the current source scope; they do not imply that all listings on either platform are monitored.

Other sources are in development. We do not list eBay as a supported marketplace without verified availability. A compatible or supported marketplace may change availability over time. Check the enabled sources for your account before relying on a particular coverage plan.

Choose a manageable review routine

Prepare references for commercially relevant models and keep seller license records nearby. Review each alert for distinctive features, design version and seller identity. A color change may still warrant comparison; a superficially similar object may turn out to be unrelated.

Record unresolved cases and what information would clarify them. When reviewing monitoring results, distinguish the absence of a match from evidence that no unauthorized sales exist. Limited source access or poor listing imagery can leave gaps, even when your reference images are clear.
